A second clip has now been released for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and like the first, it puts the focus on humour. Whether this is coincidental or a ploy by Disney and Lucasfilm to remind us that the gritty looking war movie isn’t too overly serious is hard to say, but it’s definitely good to see some laughs here between an otherwise pretty tense exchange.

Clearly, Alan Tudyk’s K-2SO will be the main source of comic relief in Rogue One, and as of right now, it’s hard to say if that’s going to turn him into a fan favourite or a real annoyance!

One thing we’ll never find out is whether this humour was present before Tony Gilroy came on board to play a pivotal role in the movie’s reshoots. It probably doesn’t matter all that much now, but it’s hard not to wonder just how different Rogue One was before Lucasfilm decided that it needed to undergo what sound like some pretty extensive alterations.

The cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story includes Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and a number of others, and it’s currently set to be released on December 15th (a day earlier in the UK), later this month!
