Richard-Armitage-The-HobbitRichard Armitage’s career has been going from strength to strength and it’s no wonder that Director Peter Jackson cast the up and coming British actor for the role of Thorin (which we find out means ‘a darer’ in Elvish) in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first of three movies in this latest franchise. We’ve recently seen Armitage in Captain America: The First Avenger but Brits will know him well from TV series Spooks and Robin Hood where he plays Lucas North / Guy of Gisbourne respectively.

In the interview conducted by James Kleinmann, we get to hear about how he took on the role of Thorin, what he felt like taking on the role, the songs and what it felt like seeing his character turned into an action figure! The interview is below in all it’s glory.

If you missed them earlier, our interview with Martin Freeman can be seen here, our Peter Jackson interview here, Ian McKellen here, Andy Serkis here and Aiden Turner & James Nesbitt here. Finally you can read our review of The Hobbit here. Keep your eyes peeled for more!
