Django-Unchained-PosterDjango Unchained is on the cusp of release in the US, with Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated return set to debut on Christmas Day in the States.

The film has long been one of the most anticipated of the year, and we’ve seen nothing but good things from it over the past few months.

The Weinstein Company have treated us to a brilliant final US trailer and a new TV spot in recent weeks, and now they’ve given us a healthy new set of four TV spots to help make the wait that little bit easier.

“Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award(R)-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award(R)-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.”

Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, and Leonardo DiCaprio top an awesome cast, starring alongside Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Jonah Hill, Don Johnson, and Walton Goggins.

Tarantino is of course once more directing from his own script, reuniting with executive producers Bob and Harvey Weinstein.

Django Unchained will be released in the US on Christmas Day, before arriving on our shores a little later for an 18th January UK release, by which time we’ll know if it will be heading to the Oscars in February. I can’t wait. This is going to be awesome.
