We have been steadily bringing you news, trailers and all manner of other lovely goodness on the next installment of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. After the mightily impressive box office haul of the first film (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe), the follow-up (Prince Caspian) underperformed a little, giving Disney cold feet and leaving the franchise temporarily homeless.

Having now found a new home at 20th Century Fox and under the watchful eye of director Michael Apted, the Dawn Treader is sailing towards our screens. We have a new international poster (from IESB) and trailer today, both of which you can feast your eyes (and ears) on below. The trailer is impressive stuff, blending excitement, darkness and a welcome, playful tone to good effect. Whether the inevitable 3D will be up to scratch, we will see, but for the time being, this looks like one to look forward to.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
