The Bourne LegacyJeremy Renner (The Avengers) takes the lead in one of the season’s biggest blockbusters next month in The Bourne Legacy, the fourth instalment in the highly successful Bourne franchise that Matt Damon has led until now.

We’ve seen plenty of action-packed footage from the film so far, and now emerges this new clip from Yahoo Movies with Renner and Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener) in a wordless motorbike escape.

“The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.”

Alongside Renner and Weisz will be a strong line-up in the form of Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, and David Strathairn.

Tony Gilroy steps behind the camera for the first time in the series, having penned the first three films to date, and directs from a script he co-wrote with brother Dan Gilroy (Real Steel, The Fall).

The Bourne Legacy will be hitting theatres in the US on 10th August, followed by a release that Friday in the UK on 13th August. Here’s the new clip to give you a taste of the action sequences we can look forward to.
