Okay, sorry, this is getting complicated and more than a little silly. Hobo With A Shotgun isn’t out yet, but there is a making-of documentary, for which a teaser trailer has just been released. Fine. Whatever.
Seriously though, HWAS looks like being properly gorey and a good old fashioned slice of exploitation fun. From the snippets contained in this trailer, it seems we are in for unheralded levels of violence, gore and blood-letting.The cries of delight and approval that go up right at the end as the digger from an excavator drops onto someone, causing an eruption of viscera, shows that this is going to be a heart-felt piece of film-making, even if it does proceed with its tongue firmly embedded in its cheek. Not one for me to take my kids along to, clearly, but a fun night out is clearly waiting to be had.
The title of the documentary seems to be “More Blood, More Heart”. An excellent motto for this sort of venture.
