To celebrate the hugely anticipated release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which arrives in cinemas this week, we had the pleasure of reuniting with the film’s cast to find out about their biggest adventure yet in the series.

In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most.

First, we catch up with Rebecca Ferguson (Isla Faust) and Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn) about how they’ve managed to outdo themselves yet again, the continued success of the series, their friendship amongst the mayhem, and more; Hayley Atwell, who joins the cast as Grace, tell us about being handcuffed to a car with Tom Cruise, driving full pelt through the city streets of Rome and her co-star’s penchant for practical jokes;

Next, Cary Elwes, playing Denlinger, talks about the lure of working with Cruise and how his new character fits into the bigger picture of the film (as well as chatting about the 30th anniversary of Robin Hood: Men in Tights); and, as the White Widow and Paris, two of the IMF’s teams greatest threats, talk about going toe-to-toe with Ethan Hunt and Cruise, the formidable women at the centre of the story and how they play into both parts of the finale.
