It’s been a long time coming, but finally Tom Cruise took to his Instagram today to announce the subtitle of the next instalment of the Mission Impossible saga as Fallout.

The action adventure will see Cruise reunite with director Christopher McQuarrie for the sixth outing of the series which also stars Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Wes Bentley and Frederick Schmidt.
The plot will see Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Cruise also posted a shot himself hanging out of a helicopter to give us a taste of what we will see in the summer blockbuster.
Cruise promised “We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more”.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout will hit cinemas July 26th.
