The first trailer for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy has been a massive hit, and Disney are clearly now hoping to strike while the iron is hot by releasing even more footage from the highly anticipated release.

In a new series of videos, Marvel are now introducing us to each of the lead characters in Guardians of the Galaxy, with the first focusing on Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon. As well as offering up interviews with James Gunn and the actor, we actually get to see (and hear) Rocket in action in the movie.

The next video sadly doesn’t give us a preview of Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel uttering any of his “I Am Groot!” lines, but we do get to hear from the actor on what it was like to bring what he describes as “one of Marvel’s strangest characters” to the big screen in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Another video has now gone live, and it focuses on WWE Superstar Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer. This featurette offers up not only some brand new footage from Guardians of the Galaxy, but also some very cool behind-the-scenes shots of the wrestler and actor in action as the team’s tough guy.

The fourth video puts the spotlight on Star Trek beauty Zoe Saldana as the deadly assassin, Gamora. As well as featuring a brief interview with the actress, we get a behind-the-scenes look at her character battling it out with Doctor Who star Karen Gillan (she plays the villainous Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy).

Finally, we get better acquainted with Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord. As the trailer focused so heavily on the character, this featurette doesn’t feature any new footage, but it does see the actor who plays Peter Quill tell us more about what we should expect from him in Guardians of the Galaxy.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1st.
