Ahead of the debut of the new trailer next week, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released a new poster for Gareth Edwards’ (Monsters) Godzilla. The reboot promises to wash away the bad taste left by Roland Emmerich’s campy 1998 effort, and is easily one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2014.
Despite the fact that the poster uses the much ridiculed back to the camera pose, there’s no denying the fact that this take on the classic creation looks set to be the most impressive yet.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston, Godzilla is set to be released on May 16th.
