We got our first look at Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel The Golden Circle via some concept art which was released last week, but now star Taron Egerton has taken to social media to share the first poster for the movie. Teaser images like this one are usually pretty unexciting, but here we get a pretty massive hint in regards to the return of Harry Hart!
Played by Colin Firth in the first movie, the character was killed off in one of the movie’s most shocking scenes after taking a bullet straight through the eye courtesy of Samuel L. Jackson’s villain. Matthew Vaughn has previously confirmed that he considered bringing Harry back but later changed his mind, though something has clearly changed since then.
The most interesting thing about this poster is the fact that it hints at some sort of resurrection rather than a return via flashback or dream sequence. The intention here was clearly to get fans talking and speculating anyway, making this teaser a definite success.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is expected to start shooting soon and will feature Halle Berry and Julianne Moore in leading roles alongside the returning Edgerton and Mark Strong. We’re just going to have to wait and see when more details on Firth’s return end up being revealed!
