Some of the supporting cast members like Michael Rooker’s Yondu got the spotlight in a new batch of character posters for Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday (you can see all of those by clicking here), but now it’s the movie’s bad guys who are finally getting some attention!

A comic book movie is nothing without a decent villain, and Marvel and James Gunn’s Guadians of the Galaxy has three of them! They are Ronan the Accuser (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’s Lee Pace), Korath (Blood Diamond’s Djimon Hounsou) and Nebula (Oculus’ Karen Gillan).

This makes a nice change as the majority of posters and stills for Guardians of the Galaxy have almost all put the spotlight on the main group of heroic characters; Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel).

Ronan is Thanos’ main henchman, while Korth serves beneath him. Nebula meanwhile looks at Thanos almost like a father, and Gamora as a sister. The fight between those two in the movie is said to be a real scene stealer, and this looks set to be the start of big things for Gillan after she made a name for herself in Doctor Who.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.
