In a week that has seen Ben Affleck’s tenure as Batman put in jeopardy, it is perhaps appropriate that San Diego Comic Con sees the biggest DC Superhero movie thus far drop it’s biggest trailer yet. This four minute look at Justice League is perhaps the best indication yet as to the new direction for the DCEU.

Building on the significant success of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman it is no surprise that we sensed an optimism at the DC showing out in San Diego. This new look comes weeks after the tragic news that Justice League director Zack Snyder would be dropping out of production, handing over to Joss Whedon to finish up. Exactly how much leeway Whedon will be given is yet to be seen, but the footage showed that he has a very fine sandbox to play in.

So, this new trailer – love the Wonder Woman stuff, The Flash’s funnyman antics seem to be laid on thick, but who doesn’t love Jeremy Irons in an Army jumper? Before you head in check out this fantastic poster, which takes inspiration from Alex Ross’s famous portrait.
