Homefront-PosterJason Statham returns to the big screen for his third leading role this year, following up Parker and Hummingbird (a.k.a. Redemption) with next month’s action-thriller, Homefront.

The first trailer for the Sylvester Stallone-penned movie landed last month, and with just a few more weeks to go before its Thanksgiving arrival in the US, IGN has launched a new red-band trailer.

A widowed ex-DEA agent retires to a small town for the sake of his 10-year-old daughter. The only problem is he picked the wrong town.

Statham is joined by a stellar cast, led by James Franco, Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, Rachelle Lefevre, Frank Grillo, and Clancy Brown.

Gary Fleder (Runaway Jury) is behind the camera, with Stallone adapting the original novel by Chuck Logan, in the Phil Broker series.

Homefront will be released on November 27th in the US, with its UK release date now set a little later for 6th December. In the meantime, here’s the new trailer, which is naturally unsuitable viewing for work.
