The event is over, and as well as the big news, delivered by J. K. Rowling herself, that the Fantastic Beasts film series will be a FIVE film franchise rather than the previously-announced trilogy, there will be a cameo from a very familiar face.

The director David Yates confirmed that Albus Dumbledore will appear in a scene with Colin Farrell and Eddie Redmayne. This has been long-rumoured as the future headmaster of Hogwarts is one of the few characters from the Harry Potter books who would be alive at the time of FBAWTFT.

This evening all across the world fans of J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World will get a sneak peek at what’s in store with the new film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Actors Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, director David Yates and producer David Heyman are taking part in a global Q&A, answering questions from fans from all corners of the globe. Colin Farrell and Jon Voight are joining in the fun from the L.A. event.
There will be a preview of some of the film in IMAX, and the whole shebang gets started at 8.30 GMT.
