Apple TV has unveiled the official trailer for season two of ‘Sugar,’ the acclaimed neo-noir detective drama starring and executive produced by Colin Farrell. The new season sees Farrell return as enigmatic private investigator John Sugar for another haunting case set against the shimmering shadows of Los Angeles.

After the revelations of the first season, Sugar remains on Earth in the hope of finding his missing sister. But his search soon collides with a brand-new investigation when he is hired to track down the older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer. What begins as a missing persons case quickly spirals into something far more dangerous, uncovering a sinister conspiracy stretching across the city.

As the stakes escalate, Sugar is forced to confront his own morality and answer a difficult question: how far is he willing to go to do what’s right?

Joining Farrell for season two is an entirely new cast that includes Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly and Sasha Calle, with Shea Whigham appearing as a special guest star.

Season two is showrun by Sam Catlin, who also executive produces through his Short Drive Entertainment banner. Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, Colin Farrell, Scott Greenberg and Chip Vucelich also executive produce. The series was created by Mark Protosevich.
