Apple TV has revealed the first look at its upcoming Australian thriller series ‘Last Seen’ (formerly titled The Dispatcher), alongside confirming the show’s global premiere date. The six-episode drama will debut worldwide on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, launching with two episodes before rolling out weekly every Wednesday through October 7.

Starring Patrick Brammall, ‘Last Seen’ follows police detective Ian Ridley, a man whose life was shattered 11 years earlier when his young daughter Maggie vanished without a trace.

Now working as a police dispatcher, Ian has spent more than a decade refusing to believe his daughter is truly gone. But when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl whose voice he is convinced belongs to Maggie, he becomes consumed by a relentless mission to find her and piece his broken family back together, no matter the personal cost.

Alongside Brammall, the series stars Maxine Peake (Say Nothing, Black Mirror), Brendan Cowell (Dune: Prophecy, Plum), Daniel Henshall (Mickey 17, How to Make Gravy), Jessica Wren (Mr. Inbetween, Return to Devil’s Playground), Zahra Newman (Thirteen Lives, Addition) and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes.

The series has been adapted by acclaimed writer and executive producer Kris Mrksa from ‘The Dispatcher,’ the novel by CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning author Ryan David Jahn.

Directing duties are handled by Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow, who also serves as executive producer.
