The BBC has unveiled the first official image from the next chapter of ‘Peaky Blinders,’ offering fans their first glimpse of Charlie Heaton as Charles Shelby in the highly anticipated continuation of the gangster saga created by Steven Knight.
Set a decade after World War II, the new series follows Charles Shelby, a war veteran who has endured brutal combat, much of it behind enemy lines. Now attempting to embrace a quieter and more ordinary life, Charles has distanced himself completely from the Peaky Blinders gang and the intoxicating chaos that defined the Shelby name.
But the past in Birmingham has claws sharper than razor blades stitched into a cap brim.
Charles has not seen his half-brother Duke in years, with the role played by Jamie Bell. The series teases a tense family reunion as old bloodlines collide with a rapidly changing city struggling to rebuild itself in the aftermath of war.

The next evolution of ‘Peaky Blinders’ shifts the story into a transformed Birmingham, where reconstruction and ambition fuel a dangerous new battleground. According to the official synopsis, the city becomes “a brutal contest of mythical dimensions,” blending opportunity with escalating jeopardy in a world where power is once again up for grabs.
The cast also includes Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and newcomer Lucy Karczewski in her television debut. Details surrounding their characters remain under wraps for now, adding another layer of smoke-and-whiskey intrigue to the production.
Production is currently underway in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios, with the series once again returning to its industrial Midlands roots.
The project will consist of two new six-episode series, each running approximately 60 minutes per episode. The new chapters will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK, while international audiences will be able to watch via Netflix.
