Emma Stone is attached to play 101 Dalmatians villain Cruella De Vil in Disney’s live-action adaptation and which could be an origin story ‘Cruella’.

Also rumoured to take the helm is I, Tonya’s Craig Gillespie with sources revealing he has entered into early negotiations. Gillespie would be taking over from Broadway’s Alex Timbers who has had to step down due to scheduling conflicts since Disney have brought the production start forward.

The story is said to be an “origin story set in the early 1980s with a punk vibe.” de Vil is known for her deviousness in obtaining dalmatian puppy fur for fashion reasons. Could this see how and why she became such a slave to fashion no matter what the cost? Who knows where Disney will go with this one.
