If you haven’t had enough of Brie Larson saving the world from aliens in the new ‘Captain Marvel’ trailer, the Oscar-winning star has entered final negotiations to join Charlie Kaufman’s thriller ‘I’m Thinking of Ending Things’.

Adapted and helmed by Kaufman for Netflix, the story is based on Iain Reid’s 2016 “deeply scary and unnerving” novel. The plot centres on Jake, who is on a road trip to meet his parents on their secluded farm with his girlfriend (Larson), who is thinking of ending things. When Jake makes an unexpected detour leaving her stranded, a twisted mix of palpable tension, psychological frailty and sheer terror ensues.

Kaufman will also produce alongside Anthony Bregman and Stefanie Azpiazu. Reid will serve as co-producer.

Larson is no stronger to the psychological game, the thriving actress rose to fame in Lenny Abrahamson’s ‘Room’. Her performance went on to land her, her an Oscar. Kaufman is also a master in the genre after dabbling with the surreal ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ and ‘Being John Malkovich’.

Larson, who was last seen on the big screen in ‘The Glass Castle’ is currently taking Hollywood by storm just from trailer’s alone with her highly anticipated role as Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers, the latest Female superhero from the MCU to front her own standalone feature. Larson also has ‘Just Mercy’ opposite Michael B. Jordan lined up and is credited to be in the forthcoming untitled Avengers 4 movie where she will reprise her role as Captain Marvel.
