Dougal Wilson has been appointed to take over directorial duties for the third Paddington sequel ‘Paddington in Peru.’
Due to commence principal photography in 2023 in London & Peru, the instalment reunites STUDIOCANAL with Heyday Films following their collaboration on films 1 & 2. STUDIOCANAL is fully financing the highly anticipated third film in the beloved Paddington franchise.
Director of Paddington 1 & 2 Paul King comments said on passing on the baton to Wilson;
“After ten years of working on the Paddington movies, I feel absurdly protective of the little bear, and I’m delighted that Dougal will be there to hold his paw as he embarks on his third big-screen adventure. Dougal’s work is never less than astounding: funny, beautiful, heartfelt, imaginative, and totally original. Aunt Lucy once asked us to ‘Please Look After This Bear.’ I know Dougal will do so admirably.”

Dougal Wilson is a director well known for his music videos and commercials. Amongst his many industry awards and honours, Dougal’s film, “We’re the Superhumans” for the Channel 4 Paralympics, garnered two Black D&AD Pencils and the Film Grand Prix at Cannes Lions. He was also nominated by the DGA for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials in 2020.
