Just as Chris Pine is about to get a miraculous appearance as Steve Trevor in ‘Wonder Women 1984’ news is trickling in that the ‘Star Trek’ star is in negotiations to star in a ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ movie at Paramount Pictures.

At this stage, it is not known what role Pine would play, a plot for the movie is also absent.

The film adaptation of the popular fantasy role-playing game has ‘Game Night’ duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley at the helm of the feature which they also penned based on a draft by Michael Gilio.

Paramount is co-producing and co-financing the ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ movie with Hasbro and eOne. eOne is distributing the movie in the U.K. and Canada, while Paramount is handling the rollout in the rest of the world. The release date was recently pushed back from November of 2021 to May 27, 2022.

Pine will next be seen in Patty Jenkins ‘Wonder Women 1984’. He is also currently working on Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ alongside Florence Pugh.
