After catching the wonderful first trailer for DreamWorks’ Rise of the Guardians back in March, the film instantly became one of the must-see animated films of the year, promising a lot of fun for people of all ages.

The great second trailer has now made its way online over at Apple, giving us another brilliant look at what we can expect from a film peopled with fairy-tale characters:

“RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is an epic and magical adventure that tells the story of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and Jack Frost – legendary characters with previously unknown extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children everywhere.”

Peter Ramsey (head of story on Monsters vs. Aliens) makes his feature directorial debut, from a script by David Lindsay-Abaire (Robots, Rabbit Hole), adapting William Joyce’s book, The Guardians of Children.

The voice cast, as you may well recognise from the trailer below, is really rather fantastic – Hugh Jackman, Chris Pine, Jude Law, Isla Fisher, Alec Baldwin, and Dakota Goyo. You can’t go wrong with an ensemble like that.

Rise of the Guardians is due out in 3D on 21st November in the US, followed just over a week later with a 30th November release here in the UK. Here’s a taste of what we can look forward to. Enjoy.
