Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes have been cast to lead the psychological thriller from Mark Mylod, ‘The Menu’.

The movie is set in the world of eccentric culinary culture, centring on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu. Taylor-Joy will play one half of the couple. Fiennes will play the chef.

Succession’s Mylod will direct from a script from Will Tracy and Seth Reiss. Adam McKay will produce through his Hyperobject Industries banner along with Betsy Koch.

Taylor-Joy’s career goes from strength to strength, making her breakthrough in Robert Eggers’ ‘The Witch’ she has gone on to star in M. Night Shyamalan thriller ‘Split’ and its sequel ‘Glass’, ‘Peaky Blinders’, ‘Emma’ ‘The New Mutants’ and most recently Netflix series ‘The Queen’s Gambit’. Her upcoming projects include Edgar Wright’s ‘Last Night in Soho’ and the Mad Max origin story ‘Furiosa’.

Fiennes was recently seen in the Netflix feature ‘The Dig’, his upcoming projects include the James Bond movie ‘No Time to Die’ where he returns to the role of M and will star in the ‘Kingsman’ prequel ‘The King’s Man’
