4. American Sniper
The latest movie from Clint Eastwood, American Sniper stars Bradley Cooper as the real life U.S. Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. Saving countless lives with his incredible skills, his reputations spreads on both sides of enemy lines, putting him in incredible danger when a price is put on his head, making him a prime target of insurgents.
Exploring what happens both at home and overseas, American Sniper has received a huge amount of awards attention (something not initially expected by pundits) and breaking January box office records upon release in the US. Mixing action sequences with an engrossing character study of the lead, this is already one of 2015’s best releases.
