Previously titled Jack the Giant Killer, we saw a new trailer following the name change late last year, and most recently a new poster. And with its release now on the horizon, Legendary have released a new set of five posters with a familiar set of giants making up four-fifths of them.
“An ancient war is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult), into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom and its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend… and gets the chance to become a legend himself.”
Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) takes the lead as the eponymous Jack, starring alongside a brilliant cast, headed up by Stanley Tucci, Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ian McShane, John Kassir, Ewen Bremner, and Eddie Marsan.
Singer is directing from a script written by Dan Studney (Reefer Madness), Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After), and Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects).
Jack the Giant Slayer will be hitting the big screen in 3D and IMAX 3D in the US on 1st March, with its UK release date set for 22nd March. For now, here’s the latest set of posters to give you a taste of what’s to come. With any luck, we’ll have a new set of character posters with some of the human characters to bring you soon.
