Game-of-ThronesHBO’s Game of Thrones has become one of the most popular TV shows in recent years, and naturally there’s a lot of anticipation surrounding its return in two and a half months’ time.

The programme continued to have a strong presence at the Emmys last year, sweeping up there and at plenty of other awards for its second season, and there’s plenty of reason to expect more of the same with the upcoming Season 3.

We saw the first teaser trailer and poster back in November, and now HBO have debuted another intriguing teaser, giving us a different approach by featuring no footage from the show itself.

The new season is expected to be based on roughly the first half of A Storm of Swords, the third novel in George R.R. Martin’s original A Song of Fire and Ice series.

The majority of the cast from last season is expected to return, headed up by Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Natalie Dormer, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harrington, Lena Headey, and of course Peter Dinklage.

And coming on board for the new season will be Iwan Rheon, Ciarán Hinds, Noah Taylor, Kerry Ingram, Charlotte Hope, Clive Russell, Mackenzie Crook, Paul Kaye, Nathalie Emmanuel, and many more.

Game of Thrones Season 3 will be premiering on HBO in the US on 31st March, with its UK premiere date set a day later on Sky Atlantic on 1st April. For now, here’s the latest teaser to raise your anticipation.
