The Beautiful Game

If we had our way, we’s speak about football to everyone, but sadly most press junkets don’t call for it. But on this occasion it was the order of the day, as we spoke to Bill Nighy, alongside director Thea Sharrock and the inspirational figure Mel Young, all about the new Netflix feature The Beautiful Game.

With Nighy we delved deep into his passion for sport, as he also talks about the shoot and what this such a desirable job. Sharrock speaks about the tonality of the film, and Young – who is the real life force behind the Homeless World Cup, speaks about the tournament and how much it has grown over the years. Synopsis

Mal is the manager of England’s homeless football team, taking his players to Rome with the hope of being crowned champions of the Homeless World Cup. He brings with them a talented striker, Vinny, who could give them a real chance at winning.
