Set to be unleashed in the spring, the upcoming remake of Carrie has been in New York over the weekend for NYCC, and with the first teaser trailer going down well amongst convention-goers, the first international teaser poster has been released online.

We got our first look at the leads, Chloë Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore, over the summer, and this new poster, coming our way from Dark Horizons, gives us a look at the young Moretz covered in blood, with a pretty neat and sinister tagline.

“A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.”

Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry, Stop-Loss) is behind the camera, directing from a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee), who makes his feature debut, adapting the classic novel by Stephen King.

And starring alongside Moretz and Moore will be the brilliant Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, and Alex Russell.

Carrie will be hitting theatres in the US on 15th March, 2013, followed by a 5th April release here in the UK. With the teaser trailer unveiled for NYCC audiences, we should be seeing the footage officially make its way online soon. For now, here’s the first international teaser poster, which you can click to enlarge.
