5. Mr Freeze
Like Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze is a villain who probably brings back nothing but bad memories thanks to his appearance in Batman & Robin. However, if nothing else, that movie did get his origin story right for the most part, but a more serious take on the small screen would be very welcome indeed.
Victor Fries’ fascination with the cold began when he was a boy and his mother fell through the ice of a frozen lake. The ice was able to keep her preserved long enough for help to arrive, thus sparking his lifelong obsession with the cold.
In his latest origin story, his “wife” is revealed to actually be someone he’s never met. Instead, she’s just a woman diagnosed with an incurable heart disease and placed in cryogenic stasis, who he becomes obsessed with while working at Wayne Industries. It’s when Batman confronts him about this that he gains his deformed appearance.
Uh what about Black Mask?!!!
I’d love to see them do something with the court of owls, but I think that May be too batman focused of a story line. That was one of my favorite batman storylines in a while
I think this show will be like Arrow in a sense where they make a bunch of references to different characters in the Batman/DC universe. Very excited for this show.
Very nearly included that in the list – seeing them play the same role in this series as the people running Gotham behind the scenes would be very cool. Hoping they’ll be used in the next Batman movie too though…
The less known about the Joker the better. We should NEVER find out everything about him, it would ruin the character.
