8. The Canary
It was widely believed that when Sara Lance (better known as The Canary) left Starling City in the season two finale to return to Ra’s Al Ghul and the League of Assassins that it would be the last we’d see of her for a very long time. However, she will return to Arrow pretty early on in season three, meaning that despite the fact that she passed on her leather jacket to her sister Laurel (who becomes the heroic Black Canary in the comics, it might be a while before she gives up the mantle. What role she will play remains to be seen, though one early episode is titled “Sara”. Could they be bringing her back specifically to kill off in preparation for the arrival of an even greater threat? It’s all speculation for now, but we have more on that new baddie a little later in this feature…
