1. Ra’s Al Ghul
This is a huge get for Arrow, especially as Ra’s Al Ghul is one of Batman’s greatest enemies (as seen in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins where he was played by Liam Neeson). Though he was mentioned a number of times last year, most fans assumed that the series would never be able to take advantage of such a well-known character from the Caped Crusader’s rogues gallery, making the confirmation that he will be season three’s big bad all the more surprising and exciting. We don’t yet know who will be playing Ra’s, but we do know that Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) will have a role in his arrival in Starling City, so The Arrow is definitely going to have his hands full. The biggest question of course is whether we’ll get some sort of mention of Batman as a result!
