8. Nova Corps
If S.H.I.E.L.D. are Earth’s guardians, then it appears as if it’s the Nova Corps who will be keeping a watchful eye over outer space. The two members of the intergalactic military/police force who get the spotlight in thus trailer are played by John C. Reilly and Peter Serafinowicz, and while they don’t seem to be playing anyone specifically from the comic books, the duo do look set to steal the show.
Of course, the most exciting part about their inclusion in Guardians of the Galaxy is the fact that this leaves the door open for the introduction of Richard Rider, the human Nova Prime. Whether he already exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or has yet to make his debut is unclear, but the simple fact that it’s a possibility is great news for fans of the hero.
