Like a phoenix rising from the flames the debut trailer for Only the Brave starring Miles Teller, Josh Brolin and Jeff Bridges has been revealed.

Directed by the man who is taking the helm on the long awaited sequel Top Gun sequel, Oblivion and Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski, Only The Brave is based on real events of the brave fire fighters from Granite Mountain, a group of men who battled Yarnell Hill Fire in which 19 members of the team died sacrificing their own lives to save that of their families and community.

Only The Brave
“Supe” Eric Marsh (Josh Brolin) leads the Granite Mountain Hotshots up the trail at Yarnell Hills–including, generally in this order: Travis Carter (Scott Foxx), Dustin Deford (Ryan Busch), Garret Zuppiger (Brandon Bunch), Andrew Ashcraft (Alex Russell), Wade Parker (Ben Hardy), Scott Norris (producer Thad Luckinbill), Anthony Rose (Jake Picking), Travis Turbyfill (Geoff Stults), Chris MacKenzie (Taylor Kitsch), Brendan McDonough (Miles Teller), Joe Thurston (Matthew Van Wettering), Kevin Woyjeck (Michael McNulty), Grant McKee (Sam Quinn), Billy Warneke (Ryan Jason Cook), John Percin, Jr. (Nicholas Jenks), Sean Misner (Kenny Miller), Robert Caldwell (Dylan Kenin), Clayton Whitted (Scott Haze), Jesse Steed (James Badge Dale) in Columbia Pictures’ ONLY THE BRAVE, THE TRUE STORY OF THE GRANITE MOUNTAIN HOTSHOTS.

The trailer focuses on Brendan McDonough, who is played by Miles Teller, as he joins the elite group of fire fighters. Training alongside the men including team leader Josh Brolin who refuses to let the men tackle any blaze until the men are “ready”. It’s an epic blast of a trailer which some may see the similarities to last year’s Deepwater Horizon.

Also starring alongside Teller, Bridges and Brolin are James Badge Dale, Taylor Kitsch and Jennifer Connelly.

No official UK release date has been announced.
