There have been a lot of rumours lately about Zack Snyder’s Justice League being delayed due to Warner Bros.’ unhappiness with that they’ve seen from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With the budget reportedly spirally out of control and a story as divisive as Man of Steel, you can understand why they might be reluctant to green light this team-up movie!

Thankfully, it appears as if there was no truth to any of that as the studio has today confirmed that production on Justice League will begin two weeks after Batman v Superman is released. That means filming on what’s sure to be an historic superhero movie (after all, it’s set to unite the DC Universe’s most iconic characters) will begin on April 11th, 2016.

10 Things From the Justice League Comics We’d Like to See on the Big Screen

“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing,” Snyder tells Entertainment Weekly about the long delayed superhero ensemble finally happening. “It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming, but I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”

Justice League is set to be released on November 17th, next year, a few months after Wonder Woman. It will unite her, Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash!
