Ahead of receiving its premiere at the Toronto film festival, the first full-length trailer for Steve McQueen’s Widows has landed online.

Based on a script by McQueen and Gone Girl’s Gillian Flynn, the movie is about a group of Chicago women who conspire to settle a debt from their dead husbands’ criminal activities.

The cast list runs like an Oscar nominations rundown with Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, and Cynthia Erivo who star as Veronica, Alice, Linda, and Belle, respectively.

Liam Neeson stars in his first non-action role since The Commuter as Mr Rawlins, ”Veronica’s husband”, whilst Robert Duvall plays Mr. Mulligan, the father of politician Jack Mulligan who is played by Colin Farrell. Also starring in the film is Daniel Kaluuya, Carrie Coon, Jon Bernthal, and Lukas Haas.

The film is to be released in the US on November 16th and the UK release on November 9th.
