Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for ‘Children of Blood and Bone,’ offering a first look at the long-awaited adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel. Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, the epic adventure brings the rich world of Orïsha to life with breathtaking visuals, high-stakes action and an all-star cast.
Set in the magical kingdom of Orïsha, ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ follows a courageous young woman determined to restore the magic that was violently stolen from her people. Joined by her brother, she forms an unlikely alliance with the king’s daughter and son as they unite against a ruthless ruler whose reign has plunged the kingdom into oppression. Their dangerous journey could change the fate of Orïsha forever.
Leading the cast is Thuso Mbedu alongside Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg and Tosin Cole. They are joined by Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Zackary Momoh, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regina King, Idris Elba and Viola Davis, bringing together one of the most impressive ensemble casts assembled for a fantasy blockbuster in recent years.
