Warner Bros. Pictures have picked up the rights to an original, as-yet-untitled, film penned by Josh Zetumer.

Zetumer previously wrote an instalment of the Bourne trilogy, as well as the upcoming comic-book adaptation Dune.

Details for the story are currently being kept under wraps, but one studio insider has described the film by saying, “You can’t put it in a box,” possibly suggesting that it’s a grounded tale, with several genre overtones.

Ruben Fleischer – who is currently directing 30 Minutes or Less, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari – will serve as executive producer, while Guymon Casady and Darin Friedman of Management 360 will produce.

The Hollywood Reporter scooped this one.
