Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s This Is The End is pretty much guaranteed to be the funniest film of the year, especially if you’re a fan of past collaborations like Pineapple Express and Superbad.
Rogen and Goldberg are making their directorial debuts with the apocalyptic comedy, and we cannot wait to see what they bring to the table as co-directors.
We’ve seen nothing but brilliant things from the film so far, kicking off with the first red-band trailer last month. Since then, we’ve caught the first TV spot, and a great promo in honour of 4/20. And now Sony have debuted another brilliant TV spot to get us all in the mood.
Six friends are trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.
Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson star as the awesome leading sextet. And they’re joined by a slew of famous faces, led by Emma Watson, Michael Cera, Jason Segel,Paul Rudd, Aziz Ansari, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Martin Starr, David Krumholtz, Kevin Hart, and Rihanna.
Rogen and Goldberg are directing from a script they co-wrote, based on an original story by Goldberg and Jason Stone, with the three working together on the original short, Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse.
This Is The End will be hitting US theatres on June 14th, with its UK release date set for two weeks later on 28th June. If this wasn’t in your calendars already, mark it down now, because this is going to be hilarious. I can’t wait.
