The-Worlds-End-Quad-PosterHitting theatres this summer, The World’s End will be bringing a highly anticipated close to the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, following its predecessors, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

With the first trailer set to be attached this week to Star Trek Into Darkness, which stars Shaun himself, Simon Pegg, we’ve now got a brilliant new quad poster to share, with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost front and centre for their final outing in the trilogy.

We’ve already seen two awesome teaser posters for The World’s End so far, and this is the first one-sheet to actually feature Pegg and Frost, with some intriguingly blue-eyed folk standing behind them.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

Starring alongside Pegg and Frost this time around will be another awesome cast, led by Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and Rosamund Pike.

Edgar Wright is naturally behind the camera for this final instalment, directing from a script he co-wrote with Pegg once more.

The World’s End will be released on 19th July here in the UK, with its US release date set a little later for August 23rd. You’d better believe this is going to be awesome. For now, here’s the great new poster, and be sure to come back later this week when the first trailer debuts.
