Apple TV has unveiled the first-look images and premiere date for ‘The Wanted Man,’ an upcoming eight-episode crime drama starring and executive-produced by SAG and Golden Globe Award winner Hugh Laurie.
The series follows organised crime boss Felix Carmichael (Laurie), whose carefully constructed world crumbles when someone within his own firm betrays him and sends him to the notorious Staplehurst Prison.
Forced to confront the brutality that helped him build his criminal empire, Felix must fight for survival behind bars. With his family, firm and fortune all at stake, he decides there is only one option left: escape.

The series also stars Emmy, SAG and BAFTA Award winner Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Crash), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk, Emily), BAFTA Award winner and Olivier Award nominee Gina McKee (My Policeman, The Years), Hazel Doupe (Say Nothing, Kathleen Is Here), Elliott Heffernan (Blitz) and BAFTA Award winner Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones, The Hours).
‘The Wanted Man’ comes from creator, writer and showrunner George Kay, whose credits include ‘Hijack,’ ‘War’ and ‘Lupin.’ The series is co-produced by New Pictures, the production company behind ‘War’ and ‘Catherine the Great,’ and Kay’s Observatory Pictures.
The first look images offer a glimpse at Laurie’s Felix and the dangerous world he finds himself trapped in as his criminal empire begins to unravel.
‘The Wanted Man’ will premiere globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, January 6, 2027, with the first two episodes. A new episode will then premiere every Wednesday through February 17, 2027.
