We present our interviews from the LFF premiere of The Personal History of David Copperfield, based on the novel David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.

The film opened the 2019 London Film Festival, and those attending were director Armando Iannucci, Hugh Laurie, Dev Patel, Gwendoline Christie, Aneurin Barnard, Morfydd Clark, Aimee Kelly, Rosalind Eleazar, Peter Singh, Lynn Hunter, Peter Capaldi, Paul Whitehouse, Ranveer Jaisal, Jairaj Varsani, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Darren Boyd, Anna Maxwell Martin, Bronagh Gallagher, The film also stars Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw, and Benedict Wong. So, that’s quite a cast, right?

We reviewed the film when it debuted in TIFF last month, and found it to be a joy. Scott Davis and Colin Hart were on the carpet last night, here are their interviews.

Synopsis:

Based on the novel by Charles Dickens, which has its full title with The Personal History, Adventures, Experience and Observation of David Copperfield the Younger of Blunderstone Rookery.
