Disney+ has unveiled the trailer for ‘The Land,’ a brand-new drama series from ‘This Is Us’ creator Dan Fogelman that takes viewers inside the high-pressure world of professional American football, where family ties, franchise politics and the desperate pursuit of victory collide.
Starring Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford and William H. Macy, the series centres on the Cleveland Browns, a struggling NFL team facing a defining moment that could change its future forever.
After several disappointing seasons, Browns head coach Danny Roarke has one last chance to turn things around. His hopes rest on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback who could finally deliver the winning season the team desperately needs. There is just one complication: the rookie is Danny’s own son.
As father and son navigate the pressures of professional football, the franchise faces another battle behind closed doors. Team owner Hal Durkin must decide which of his two daughters is best suited to take over the organisation, setting the stage for a family power struggle with the future of the Browns hanging in the balance.
With a loyal fanbase demanding results, The Land explores the personal sacrifices, complicated relationships and ruthless decisions that come with running an NFL franchise. The drama unfolds both on the field and in the front offices, where one losing season could trigger sweeping changes for everyone involved.
Alongside Meloni, Moore, Crawford and Macy, the series stars Omar Epps, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet and Bridget Moynahan.
Fogelman created The Land and serves as its showrunner and executive producer. Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls and Justin Adler also executive produce the series.
