After making its debut at the Cannes Film Festival last night, Lars Von Trier’s The House that Jack Built has seen a trailer released.

In typical Von Trier fashion, and as he promised, the film is drenched in subtle brutality and blood as Matt Dillon’s journey as Jack unfolds into a serial killer.

Written and directed by Von Trier, the film sees Uma Thurman and Riley Keough both fall victim to the hands of Dillon’s Jack. The film follows Jack’s development as a murderer, following him through five important killings and providing glimpses into his troubling coming-of-age experience.
