Following on from the devastating news that the latest in the James Bond franchise, ‘No Time To Die’ has seen its release pushed back until next year, Warner Bros have also reshuffled some of their tentpole films including ‘The Batman’.

The latest movements are as follows;

The Batman – pushed from October 1, 2021 to March 4, 2022

Dune – Moves back almost a year to October 1st 2021, filling the slot left by ‘The Batman’

The Flash – moving back from June 3, 2022 to Nov. 4, 2022

Shazam! Fury of the God – leaving that November 4, 2022 date and is shifting to June 2, 2023.

Black Adam – was slated for a release on December 22nd 2021 but is now undated.

Matrix 4 – moving up from April 1st 2022 to December 22nd 2021.

Most of these delays in release are due to production hold-ups. The decision to move ‘Dune’ is in part due to the fact Cineworld will close its doors this week and won’t reopen until 2021. It finally feels like we are in a Catch-22 situation between the exhibitors and studios.
