Today sees the release of the brand new book, The Art of Sucker Punch which accompanies the brand new Zack Snyder movie and Titan Publishing have sent us a copy to review. The movie, Sucker Punch is released on 1st April and if you want to see just how the movie has come together, this book is an essential read / look.

I love these ‘art of’ books, mainly because they’re aren’t many words in them (I’m not much of a reader!)! Snyder has actually been responsible for putting this book together and has done an awesome job. This book works so well, especially for a movie like Sucker Punch as it’s so graphic heavy. We saw what Snyder was able to do with Watchmen and 300, using complete CG backgrounds to put the actors into locations which were artistically beautiful. This books gives you an inside look into how these concepts are created looking at everything from original concept, to the logos that they could have used for the movie.

Sucker Punch tells the story from the imagination of a young girls mind which lends itself perfectly to Snyder’s form of movie-making. If you’re a fan of posters and concept art then you’re going to love The Art of Sucker Punch Book. It gives you detailed reports on all the characters, concept art for each plus a great look at the vehicles from the movie, the weapons, costume and production design. As you can see from the images that I’ve placed below, the art is stunning from the movie which is released 1st April.

If you’re looking forward to seeing Sucker Punch but want to find out more of the look and feel that you can expect, then purchase this book as it’s visually stunning!
