The first poster has been released for the upcoming crossover between Supergirl and The Flash, and it depicts the two heroes getting into a race as the supporting cast of the former’s series watches on (this presumably confirms that none of The Flash’s cast members will be making their presence felt in this episode). Regardless, it’s a striking piece of imagery.
It was recently revealed that Supergirl will almost certainly be renewed for a second season by CBS, and so an official announcement about the show’s future is expected to be made soon. For now though, Kara Danvers has this surprise meeting with The Flash to get through!
“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe,” reads the synopsis, “and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
It sounds like this will be a relatively brief visit for the Scarlet Speedster then, but it will hopefully be the start of bigger things to come for these two heroes, especially as you have to believe that the door is now open to Supergirl appearing on The Flash during season three.
