HBO Max has released the official trailer for ‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe,’ the upcoming Max Original comedy series that expands the world of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ in an unexpected new direction.

The ten-episode season premieres on Friday, July 24, exclusively on HBO Max, with new episodes debuting weekly on subsequent Fridays.

The series follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman, who finds himself at the centre of a reality-shattering catastrophe after accidentally breaking a device created by Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter. The mishap triggers a multiverse Armageddon, leaving Stuart with the daunting task of restoring reality before everything collapses.

The trailer showcases Stuart’s reluctant transformation from comic shop owner to unlikely hero as he embarks on a chaotic mission across multiple realities.

Joining him on the journey are his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist Bert Kibbler (Brian Posehn), and the ever-irritating quantum physicist Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie). Together, the group navigates alternate dimensions filled with strange new worlds and alternate versions of beloved characters from ‘The Big Bang Theory.’

‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’ was created, written, and executive-produced by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady.

Kyle Newacheck serves as an executive producer and directs multiple episodes of the series.
