DreamWorks Animation has released the second trailer for ‘Forgotten Island,’ its upcoming original animated fantasy adventure that blends mythology, friendship, and heartwarming emotion. Featuring the voices of Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R. and actress Liza Soberano, the film follows two lifelong best friends whose bond is put to the ultimate test on a mystical island filled with legendary creatures.

The story centres on Jo (H.E.R.) and Raissa (Liza Soberano), two high school graduates who have been inseparable since childhood. As they prepare to embark on different paths in life, the pair spend one final night together before unexpectedly discovering a mysterious portal.

The portal transports them to Nakali, a magical island inhabited by mythological creatures and legends they grew up hearing about from their Filipino families. What begins as an incredible adventure quickly becomes a race against time when they learn that the cost of returning home may be the memories of their friendship.

Faced with the terrifying Manananggal and a host of magical challenges, Jo and Raissa must find a way back before they forget each other forever.

Joining H.E.R. and Soberano is an ensemble cast that includes Dave Franco as the well-meaning but clumsy weredog Raww.

The voice cast also features Lea Salonga as the fearsome Manananggal, alongside Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy and Ronny Chieng. ‘Forgotten Island’ is written and directed by Academy Award nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado.
