Yesterday an interesting trailer hit the net for a new SyFy Original movie entitled SHARKTOPUS.
Yes, you read that clearly, SHARK-TO-PUS.
Literally a Great White shark mixed with an octopus resulting in a ridiculous beast (s)hellbent on terrorising anything marine related. I originally thought this was fake but after seeing it pop up in a few more places, this crazy trailer is actually the real deal.
This low budget film produced by Roger Corman is sure to put a smile on the faces of those that love comedic horror. It is a B-movie that is bound to be bloody, disgusting, and utterly insane as the ultimate navy weapon, Sharktopus, swims rampant in the ocean destroying everything in its way.
The synopsis is brief but brilliant,
The U.S. Navy has commissioned a group called Blue Water to genetically engineer a half-shark, half-octopus to help combat Somali pirate ships. Then things go wrong.
